About The Author

I, Beverly Ahlering Saltonstall, am the proud author of “Cape Coral Burrowing Owls Don’t Hoot” and have spent over 20 years working to protect the world’s largest population of Florida Burrowing Owls in Cape Coral. My passion for these unique birds began in 2000 when I first encountered them in my new hometown, Cape Coral.

After responding to a newspaper ad seeking help with the Burrowing Owls population, I became an integral part of forming the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife organization. I have been the Educational Outreach Chair for the past decade, sharing my extensive knowledge about the owls with schools, service organizations, homeowners associations, and nature organizations.
